Tokyo Sky Tree

 We decided to walk from the Sensoji temple to Tokyo Sky Tree since it was such a nice day.  Emily and I were just enjoying the scenery.  We were supposed to meet Kimie at one at the base of the Sky Tree (after we went up), but there had been some mixed communication and we couldn't get a hold of her, so we ended up meeting up with her later than expected. 

There were some fine clouds in the sky throughout the morning.  When we were done with the Sky Tree and waiting for Kimie, we indulged in Cold Stone ice cream and found that the sky was clear.  If we had had the time, we would have (most likely--although having to pay for another ticket up was also a deterrent) went back up.  C'est la vie.

At the spot where they take your picture, they will use their camera, and will also take one picture with your camera.  The picture at the beginning of the post was their camera (a picture of their picture--I was too lazy to scan it in)--this one is from mine.  I had to tweak the color in order to see any of the city

We went all the way to the top--which is 451.2 meters high.  It was so amazing to look out over the city

The glass bottom, where you can stand on the glass and look straight down.  There were so many people that I was unable to get a really good shot; I was lucky to get this one of my foot (without anyone else's foot in the shot).  I couldn't believe how crowded that one little section was.

Emily isn't only enamored with water (and fire).  She also loves looking out over the city.  It was beautiful and so peaceful.  We really could have spent the rest of the day there and just relaxed.  Our time was limited, though, and we had more to explore. 

Emily has little Line phone chain characters that she would take pictures of everywhere we went and send them to her friends.  It's something they all did in their travels.

I know it's really dark, but I think it's a cute picture of the two of us--it was hard because if we put the flash on, the city can't be seen, but if we didn't, then we are dark
