Little Victories
Since Zuri is a picky eater, and we have been having trouble getting her to eat solids, I have been putting rice cereal in with her bottles. She takes a bottle better that way, although she still resists at first. She definitely has a stubborn streak!

Zuri and her glow worm
This is an old video from September, but I wanted to try uploading a video to see how it works. The video is taken with our phone so it isn't the best quality. The video seems jerky when uploaded, but isn't on our computer. (It also works best if you stop the music player at the bottom so you can hear the audio.) Zuri loves her glow worm!

Snow Day
Valentines Day
Valentines Day was amazing! It was a snowy morning but we didn't let that stop us from getting out. We had a babysitter for Zuri while J and I went out to dinner and a movie. We ate at Rumbi Island Grill, which is where we had our first date, and then went to see Twilight. I really enjoyed the movie--they did a good job keeping it close to the book. When we got home we were relieved to find that Zuri hadn't cried much while we were gone (she has recently been having separation and stranger anxiety). My Valentines gift from J was a new camera! I am so excited and have been taking lots of pictures.

Zuri's new trick is that she is pulling herself up. She is becoming quite quick with crawling and now only army crawls about half the time.

About Us

Here is a brief background:
J. graduated from Utah State University in Logan, UT with his Bachelor's in psychology. He is currently applying for graduate school in the field of social work. Keep your fingers crossed! He served his mission in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where he would love to revisit someday. He is from a small town in central Utah.
I grew up in Lake Tahoe. I moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, where I graduated in Human Development. I wanted to take a year off from school to save money for graduate school. I was planning on attending grad school in California where I planned to pursue a degree in child psychology....but that all changed...
J and I met country swing dancing in Provo. We were married 2006 in Manti, UT. We added a new member to our family two years later--Zuri, who is nine months old. She is a shining light and such a joy in our lives. She had a rocky start but is doing well, despite being so little. She is our little peanut.
