4th of July

4th of July this year was a bit of a disappointment. I'm not sure if it was because J wasn't there; the fireworks started ten minutes late and ended ten minutes early and were so unevenly spaced that I couldn't get any good pictures; because there were people there who just made it very stressful; if it just didn't seem like anyone could really connect with the day; or all of it. There was fun to be had though. One of my childhood friends whom I haven't seen in years stopped by which was really cool. Here are some of the highlights of the day!

Zuri was once again loving the sand. She was finding things in the sand and giving them to my dad. It was so funny!

After the fireworks we all regrouped back at my dad's house. Zuri is sitting with Chantal's girls: Kaylie (holding her), Brianna, and Maddie.

All in all we had a good time; just not as fun as previous years...Hopefully next year will be better!
