Turning 6

Zuri turned six.  Six.  I can't believe it. She is such a sweet girl.  She is definitely not afraid to tell you what is on her mind.  She is a talker--she will talk your ear off.  She is high-energy, always on the go, and doesn't like to sit still.  In fact, I was worried that she might have a little ADHD because it can be hard getting her to sit still enough to focus.  However, I talked with her teacher at school (who just raves about Zuri) and her teacher hasn't noticed any concentration or any other issues.  Her teacher did say that Zuri likes to talk, but after a reminder will quiet down and pay attention.  She loves school, and she loves her teacher.

Since we didn't name our baby 'Tree-on,' Zuri has made 'Tree-on' her imaginary friend.  Depending on the day will depend on Tree-on's state.  She is often sick (not sure why), and sometimes has six sisters.  She varies in age between 6 and 26, but is most often 16.  Tree-on has superpowers and "lives in another world."  When Zuri is mad at me, she will say that she is going to tell Tree-on on me.

Zuri really wants to fly.  If she had a superpower, that is what it would be.  She talks all the time about wanting to fly, and then gets sad because she can't fly.

She wants a puppy and is constantly asking us to get a dog.  She was really disappointed when she didn't get one on her birthday, and is now determined that she will get one in December.  It is very possible she will have worn us down by then!
