Four months have gone by quickly, and I swear she gets cuter every day! Her little personality is starting to emerge, and it is oh-so fun. She can blow bubbles, reach her toes, roll all the way onto her tummy (and she even rolled all the way back once--one of Kai's therapists was there when she did it, just to show off!), and she even holds "conversations." She puts everything in her mouth and prefers blankets and cloth-like toys. I think we may have another blanket baby in the works!
Her sleeping schedule hasn't changed much. She still wakes up 1-2 times a night, usually right around the three o'clock hour. She is often awake from 3am to 5am, and then I am back up by 7am to get Zuri ready for school, so this mama is tired! By the time Zuri gets off to school, River is back awake, and when she goes down for her nap, Kai is awake. Then comes home from school, so there is little opportunity for a nap. Every so often she will wake up every two hours (such as last night); if we are lucky, she will sleep six hours at a time, but that happens only rarely.
She is getting a little more independent--not minding "floor time" as much. She is still not a fan of tummy time, and gets upset when she flips herself over and can't get back to her back.
She is quick to smile and she and Zuri just adore each other. It is fun to hear her little laugh. I love watching her figure out things.
I guess we need to see you guys more often. I was thinking she was like 2 months old!
