Bear Lake

Monday morning J and I headed up to Utah County.  J had a meeting for his fall/winter internship and we were able to check into our new apartment.  We are really pleased with it, especially since all we were able to see were pictures online when we got the contract.  It is the town home style apartment again--which we really enjoyed with the last apartment.  As it turns out, we are in the same stake as the last time--we are only about four blocks south of where we were.  Too funny.

We left Zuri with J's parents so that we could get things moved in and then take off to Bear Lake for our anniversary.  Tuesday, J's dad came and helped us, along with Amanda and Tyler.  We were able to get everything moved out of the storage unit, but we are still organizing and get things put away.

As we drove through Logan, J went down memory lane.  We ate lunch at Bluebird Restaurant and drove by the temple.

I had never been to Bear Lake, so I was surprised at how big it was.  We played in the lake, gathered shells, and had raspberry shakes (oh so yummy).  We spent time in the jacuzzi and the pool, and reluctantly checked out in the morning.  We indulged in another raspberry shake as we drove back to home, because J had another meeting he needed to attend.

It took four panoramic shots with the camera to capture the lake even at this distance!
Those aren't rocks, they are shells!  I have noted the same thing happening to the beaches in Lake Tahoe.  Shells hitchhiking on boats that aren't cleaned properly before entering the lake.

We had a lot of fun this summer.  A lot of adventures and a much needed get-away.  As school begins next week and I start work again, we will get ourselves back into a routine.  This is J's last year of school, then we will see what the future brings! :-)
