The Move

Okay everyone sorry for no pictures this post but we are currently in Lake Tahoe. When we eventually get back to Utah, we will get internet in our new apartment. I have been going crazy the last two weeks without it!
The move went well, without major incident. We are now in Orem in a little townhome/four-plex type complex. It is really quiet; we are so used to hearing the family of Koreans above us that it is almost unnaturally quiet. So very nice. The walls must be really thick in our complex because we have not heard a single thing from our neighbors. We have met our immediate neighbors--a younger couple--who seem to be really nice. We haven't had the chance to get out and socialize yet because we have been so busy with the move and coming out to Tahoe. We have also been job hunting because J is now officially done with his job. It is a little frightening having both of us out of work and being on vacation, but we have faith that it will work out. I have a couple part-time jobs lined up where I will be able to have Zuri with me. I will begin work in September.
As always, there are a few quirks to our apartment. The biggest is that it is very hot, especially upstairs. We do have a swamp cooler in our room, but it is located pretty much on the floor so really doesn't do much good. Fans are our new best friends like never before. Stairs: Zuri loves the stairs and it is hard to get her away from them. We have to put up gates to keep her from spending all her time (and from tumbling down) on them. We love our new place though and we are very excited to be out of the leaks and the mold. We miss our old neighborhood and ward, but we are looking forward to meeting new people and having new experiences.
