Grandma Visiting
My Grandma (my mom's mom) flew in from Virginia for a week and we had the opportunity to have dinner with her one night at my aunt's house. Zuri hadn't met her great-grandmother before so it was fun for us all. Luckily, even though she was tired, she was in a good mood and entertained us all.
Here is a four-generation picture!
How adorable
An Evening with McKenzie
A couple of weeks ago, we had my sister, McKenzie, come and stay the night with us while my mom worked late. I took the girls to the park over by our apartment and they had a blast.

Stealing
Sometimes I wish that we still lived in a society that when people steal, they get their hands chopped off. Too many people get off way too easily for their crimes and who pays? We do, the innocent ones. Okay, so I am blowing off some steam right now. Today we bought some Infant Mylicon from Wal-Mart, and when we get home I discover that the Mylicon was actually not even in the box! I undid the plastic wrapping over it and everything, but on closer inspection, we found the plastic had been slit at the bottom. That must be where the thief had taken it out. GRRR... is on his way back to Wal-Mart right now to see if we can get another one. It just makes me so mad; people stealing. When people steal, not only does it hurt the store, but it hurts the consumer because prices are raised to pay for the stolen item! Okay, I am done venting, but still....!

Pumpkins
Over the weekend we went to J's parents house for Emery's baby blessing. We also took family photos at the Beck Family Farm's pumpkin patch. It was hard to get pictures with the wind blowing and the kids didn't want to cooperate. Zuri was especially uncooperative but I managed to get a good shot of her putting straw into J's mouth. She looks just like her daddy!
I didn't have my camera when Zuri was wandering through the pumpkin patch. Although she was a lot more interested in the straw and the weeds than the pumpkins. Such a funny kid.
As always, Zuri's favorite activity is chasing dogs...and running. The dog is already way out of the shot (and out of sight) but that didn't stop her from trying to get to him!

Conference October 2009
The weather was nice for Saturday, just a little chilly. Sunday it rained all but the two hours for our lunch break. Small blessings.
This Conference Dad brought along some of the youth from the ward (starting to become a tradition). Jori, Cassara, Alex, and Christian all came. Sandi (who used to belong to the South Tahoe Ward but moved to St. George not long ago) also came up and they all bunked at our apartment. The girls were upstairs and the guys were downstairs. It was crazy but actually worked out pretty well.
Saturday while the guys were in the Priesthood session, we girls went to the mall and did some shopping! It is crazy how busy the mall is during the Priesthood session--girls time out!

Zuri and McKenzie
Life is very busy these days with J back in school and me working full time again. For those of you who don't know, I am a personal assistant up in Salt Lake. I do everything from accounting to sewing to childcare. The perk is that I work for my mom, which means that I can have Zuri with me and I also get to watch my little sister, McKenzie. Zuri just adores McKenzie; she follows her aunt around and just laughs and laughs with her.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures; I was trying to take the picture as they were swinging so they are a bit on the blurry side.
