Not much to update. Kai is doing really well in the incubator. The night before last he gained 20 grams, and last night he gained an additional 50 grams. The nurse said it is because he isn't having to expend the energy keeping himself warm and is able to gain the weight. I am glad that he is doing so well, especially with the PICC line gone, I was a little worried about him possibly dropping weight again. He is now almost 4 pounds.
Bambi, I haven't been on your blog for a while and I got on today and just sat and read all your posts about your beautiful little boy and just cried. I'm so sorry that you and Joshua have to go through this hard time with your cute little guy. Please know my prayers are with you. Your little boy seems to be quite a fighter! It's hard to understand why we recieve these trials that we don't feel strong enough to take on...but this little guy was meant to be in your family and he is going to be such a special sweet spirit in your home...he is such a blessing. I pray you feel the strength from all those that love you! Please let me know if you need ANYTHING.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It really helps to have all the love and support. I don't know why we have to go through this, and I certainly don't feel adequate in any way. There are times when both Josh and I just break down, but we are fortunate to have people like you supporting us and we are able to get back up and go forward.
